[GPAC] Brandt tabbed NAIA Athletics Director of the Year

(Orange City, Iowa)—Northwestern College's Barry Brandt has been named the 2014 NAIA Athletics Director of the Year. The award, announced this afternoon by the NAIA, recognizes outstanding accomplishments in athletics administration and service to the national organization. Brandt will be formally honored on April 13 during the NAIA national convention in Charlotte, N.C.



[Volleyball] Northwestern’s Schut named NAIA A.O. Duer Award Winner

(Orange City, Iowa)  – Northwestern's Karlie Schut has been named the 2014 NAIA A.O. Duer Scholarship Award winner as announced by the NAIA national office The award recognizes academics, character and citizenship by junior student-athletes in any sport. Named in honor of the NAIA's former executive secretary for his 26 years of service to the Association, the award has been presented since 1967 to one male and one female junior student-athlete.



[Outdoor Track Combined] Former Doane Track & Field Standout named to NAIA Hall of Fame

(Crete, Neb.)  – Former Doane College standout Katrina (Kosmos '07) Hanquist has been selected to the 2014-15 NAIA Hall of Fame class.  Hanquist was a member of the track and field program at Doane from 2004-07 and was an 11-time NAIA All-American.



[Men's Basketball] Bergh Named Emil S. Liston Award Winner

(Mitchell, S.D.)  – Trae Bergh of Dakota Wesleyan was named the 2014 Emil S. Liston Award winner. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the association's highest individual honors as part of the inaugural NAIA National Awards Day.  Awards recognized achievements of NAIA student-athletes, administrators and coaches.



[Golf Combined] DWU Shoots 312 to Claim GPAC Women's Golf Qualifier #1

(Sioux Center, Iowa) - Dakota Wesleyan, behind four individual rounds of 78 on Monday, shot a team total of 312 to claim Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf Qualifier #1. Today's round was played at The Ridge in Sioux Center, Iowa, and was hosted by Dordt College.

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played on Saturday, September 13, 2014.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2014-2015 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 



[Women's Golf] Women’s Golf Qualifier #1 is Monday at The Ridge

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The first qualifier of the 2014-15 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf season is set for Monday, September 15, in Sioux Center, Iowa, at the Ridge Golf Club. Dordt will host the first 18 of 72 holes for the season.  Two qualifiers will be played in the fall and two in the spring to determine the 2014-15 GPAC Women's Golf Champion and Individual Medalist.
