[GPAC] The GPAC Unveils New Conference Logo

(Sioux City, Iowa) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has unveiled a new logo that will be implemented for the 2015-16 academic year.  GPAC Commissioner Corey Westra announced the new logo that will be phased in over the summer and throughout the next year in the GPAC at its member schools.

[GPAC] Devin Smith named GPAC AD of the Year

Sioux City, Iowa – Following a big year on and off the playing surfaces for Bulldog athletics, Concordia University Director of Athletics Devin Smith has been voted by his conference peers as the GPAC Athletic Director of the Year, as announced on Monday, May 25, 2015. Smith has overseen the athletics department at his alma mater since June of 2010.

[Outdoor Track Combined] Concordia Men's Track & Field Wins 2015 NAIA National Title

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) On Saturday the Concordia University men's track and field team did something never before accomplished in the history of Bulldog athletics – win a national title. In a three-day meet that came down to the very last event, head coach Kregg Einspahr's men tallied 59 points and held off Indiana Tech (55), Wayland Baptist (55) and Oklahoma Baptist (53) for the title. On the women's side, Concordia tied for fifth with 39 points.

[Outdoor Track Combined] BCU's Cowan Wins Fourth NAIA National Triple Jump Title

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Raheem Cowan from Briar Cliff University won his fourth national title in the triple jump with a school record bound of 16-01 at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  The victory gave him both indoor and outdoor triple jump crowns this year, a feat he also accomplished as a sophomore.  Cowan was an eight time GPAC triple jump champion in both indoor and outdoor.

[Outdoor Track Combined] Doane's Tatum Wins NAIA Pole Vault National Title

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Andy Tatum from Doane won the NAIA men's pole vault on Saturday, clearing 16-08.75 which ties the school record he set earlier this season. 

[Outdoor Track Combined] Northwestern's Ettleman Claims NAIA Heptathlon National Title

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Karen Ettleman won the national championship in the heptathlon for one of the many highlights for Northwestern athletes at the 2015 NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala.

[Outdoor Track Combined] Doane's Wolken Repeats as NAIA Decathlon National Champion

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Doane's Kale Wolken claimed the NAIA men's decathlon national title for the second straight year, posting 7,356 points over the 10 events.  Wolken posted the best mark in three of the 10 events, the long jump, 400m and pole vault.

[Outdoor Track Combined] Jennifer Maag from Hastings Claims 5th Career National Title

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Hastings' Jennifer Maag had been fighting through some nagging injuries throughout her senior season but definitely saved her best for last hitting a season high 15.44m in the shot put to claim her 5th career national championship at the 2015 NAIA Track and Field Championships on Friday.

(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Concordia's Cody Boellstorff won the hammer throw national title with a mark of 205' 7 ¼ on Thursdat at the NAIA National Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

[Softball] Morningside, Sioux City Ready for NAIA Softball World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the official seeds and bracket for the 2015 NAIA Softball World Series, presented by Security National Bank & Morningside College (Iowa). The 10-team, double-elimination event takes place from May 22 – 28 at the Elizabeth & Irving Jensen Softball Complex in Sioux City, Iowa. The City of Sioux City and Morningside College serve as official hosts for the first time in the 35-year history of the event.
