[GPAC] DWU Group Challenges GPAC to take Domestic Violence Pledge

(Mitchell, S.D.) - Every college student takes on countless assignments while in school, but few have the potential to create a movement for change on a topic that hits home directly or indirectly for many. 

Five Dakota Wesleyan University students, four athletes and one athletic training major, took the opportunity presented by an assignment to do something bigger. In the fall of 2014, Professor Alisha Vincent tasked the students in her social justice class to select a cause that they showed interest in and wanted to advocate for.

[Softball] Mustangs picked to win softball title in 2015

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Morningside College, champions of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) regular season and tournament titles in 2014, is the coaches' choice to win the 2015 GPAC softball title.  The Mustangs totaled 90 points and three first place votes in the preseason poll. 



[Baseball] Doane is Tabbed to Win GPAC Baseball Title in 2015

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Doane College, with 99 points and nine first place votes, is the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) baseball coaches' choice to win the 2015 regular season league title.  The Tigers, who went a perfect 20-0 en route to the GPAC regular and postseason championships last spring, posted a 42-11 overall record in 2014.



[Men's Indoor T&F] Doane's Hillman Earns NAIA Weekly Indoor T&F Honor

(Kansas City, Missouri)  - Doane College junior Levi Hillman (Junior/Bennet, Neb.) has been named by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as this week's National Men's Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week.

[Football] DWU Football Team Earns NAIA Champions of Character Award

Mitchell, S.D. – The last three years have brought a rarely-before-seen run of success for the Dakota Wesleyan University football team on the field under Head Coach Ross Cimpl, but the Tigers were honored for their work off the field, as well as on with a national award at the AFCA Convention.
