[Football] GPAC and KCAC Football Challenge Kicks Off Saturday

Wichita, Kansas and Sioux City, Iowa - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference(GPAC) football coaches and commissioners have come to an agreement on a series of football games played between teams from each league starting with the 2015 season.  This Saturday, September 5, will be the first round of games in the new challenge.



[Women's Soccer] Broncos are Favorite in Preseason WomenÂ’s Soccer Poll

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Hastings College totaled 118 points for first place in the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll. The Broncos garnered nine of twelve first place votes.



[Men's Soccer] Broncos Tabbed as Men's Soccer Favorite

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Hastings College totaled 99 points for first place in the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll. The Broncos garnered nine of eleven first place votes.



[Volleyball] Midland Tops Volleyball Preseason Poll

(Sioux City, Iowa) –Midland University tallied 110 points for first place in the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Coaches' Volleyball Poll. The Warriors garnered five of twelve first place votes. Northwestern, who was picked second with 101 points received three first place votes while Hastings, picked third with 100 points also had three first place votes.



[Volleyball] Midland's Harms is GPAC Nominee for NAIA A.O. Duer Award

(Sioux City, Iowa) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has named Midland University volleyball player, Ashlee Harms, its 2015 recipient of the Female A.O. Duer award. The award is voted on by GPAC Faculty Athletic Representatives to represent the GPAC and be considered for national recognition by the NAIA,



[Wrestling] Morningside's Stevenson is GPAC Nominee for NAIA Coach of Character

Morningside's wrestling head coach Jake Stevenson is the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) nominee for the NAIA Coach of Character Award.



[Football] Morningside's Stofferan is GPAC Nominee for NAIA Walker Character Award

(Sioux City, Iowa) - Morningside's Ethan Stofferan, a football player from Sibley, Iowa, is the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) male nominee for the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award.



[Women's Basketball] Morningside's Bachman is GPAC Nominee for NAIA Liston Award

(Sioux City, Iowa) - Morningside's Allison Bachman, a women's basketball player from Fremont, Neb., is the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) female nominee for the NAIA Emil S. Liston Scholarship Award.



[Football] Doane's Borcher Named GPAC Nominee for NAIA A.O. Duer Award

(Sioux City, Iowa) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced this year's male nominee for the A.O. Duer Scholarship Award, as presented by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Daktronics, is Garrett Borcher (SR/Pawnee City, Neb.). A member of the Doane football team, Borcher was selected by the faculty athletic representatives within the conference and will be in contention for the national award.



[Football] Morningside Tabbed as Preseason Football Favorite

(Sioux City, Iowa) –   The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) held their 16th annual football media day on Thursday, August 6, at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City, Nebraska.  The day featured comments from all ten of the league's football coaches in preparation for the 2015 season.
