[Men's Soccer] Broncos tabbed as Preseason Men's Soccer Favorite

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Hastings men, after posting a 20-4 record in 2013, have been selected by the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) men's soccer coaches' as the favorite for the 2014 GPAC men's soccer season.

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Hastings women, after posting a 16-5-1 record in 2013, have been selected by the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) women's soccer coaches' as the favorite to win the 2014 GPAC women's soccer regular season title.



[Volleyball] Northwestern Tops 2014 Preseason Volleyball Poll

(Sioux City, Iowa) –Northwestern College tallied 98 points for first place in the 2014 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Coaches' Volleyball Poll. The Red Raiders garnered eight of eleven first place votes. Midland, who was picked second with 91 points, received the remaining three first place votes.

(Lincoln, Nebraska) –   The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) held their 15th annual football media day on Thursday, August 7, at the Cornhusker Marriot in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The day featured comments from all ten of the league's football coaches in preparation for the 2014 season and the reselase of the coaches' and media preseason polls.

(Sioux City, Iowa / Lincoln, Neb.) - The 15th annual GPAC Football Media Day is slated for this Thursday, August 7, at the Cornhusker Marriott in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. The press conference will be held in the Yankee Hill Room on the 3rd level of the Cornhusker. (Note the 3rd Floor Location)



[GPAC] Jill McCartney Named Athletic Director at Doane

(Crete, Neb.) – Doane College announced today the appointment of new Athletic Director Jill McCartney, the assistant athletics director for compliance and academics and senior woman administrator at Washburn University since 2009, following a national search. McCartney will be the second full-time athletic director in school history and will begin her duties leading the Doane Tigers in September.

[Combined Basketball] Inaugural Pivot Hoops Basketball Camp a Success in Sioux City!

Sioux City, Iowa  - The Inaugural Pivot Hoops Basketball Camp was July 14-16 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City, Iowa.  The camp featured 29 incoming 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls and boys from the Siouxland Area.
